Reba Shropshire Wilson Scholarships Available
Reba Shropshire Wilson (February 17, 1911 – October 23, 2006) served as R-CA president in 1960 and 1976. Prior to her death, she established two scholarships in honor of Roark and Conner ancestors. They are:
“The Reba S. Wilson Scholarship Fund” at Berry College in Rome, GA; and
“The Maximilian Haney Conner Scholarship Fund” at Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN.
Any descendant needing financial support is eligible to apply for the scholarships as indicated by the ancestors identified in each of the scholarships. Both universities have agreed to give special consideration to Maximilian Conner, Martha Palmer Conner, and Laura Roark Shropshire descendants, who need financial assistance.
If you wish to apply for one of the scholarships, please email BoD@Roark-Conner@org, and provide information to identify yourself as a descendant.
